NANAIMO

Several community projects are underway in Nanaimo, BC.

Open Mic on Monday nights at the Vault cafe boomed to become a popular little venue in the heart of a community focused in the arts. This venue had grown to a point where we decided Nanaimo needed a follow-up for the amazing talents that are seen in this quaint little venue. Based on this observation, we developed a talent showcase this past October, in which we called the "100 Mile Music Diet". We held the first series at the Vault where we had also hosted the open mic nights. This series ended with the last show on Dec.19, 2009. It was very entertaining with a varied mix of styles and genres of music bringing an interesting mix of people out supporting their local musicians.

More news for the Nanaimo region is the integration of Vancouver Island University and Cedar Road LFG to give students hands on experience in the field of renewable energy.

LATIN AMERICA

Latin America is famous for it's style of sculptures. We will soon be connecting communities through this beautiful artwork. We will open an online store soon, to purchase some beautiful pieces of Cuban Art.
